Hello artists. My name is Melissa Kowal and I’ve always known I wanted to be an art teacher, but only recently I figured out how I want to teach. 

When I was learning how to be an art educator at UMASS Amherst I was invited into many different types of classrooms with a variety of different types of students. Later when I was given my own classroom, I realized how many students and teachers wanted to stay for hours just creating their own masterpieces. One class period just wasn’t enough for them. And now, I fear that many students won’t have the opportunity to have art class at all in school.

That’s why I started this company. To give artists the materials and guidance far beyond the school day. This traveling center is a place where everyone can feel safe to learn at their own pace and foster their own ideas. I’ve loved seeing what my students have created in the past and I look forward to seeing what this incredible community can create soon.
