Drawing 101.
Based on skill level I will sharpen your drawing skills. This class is base off of what you would like to get better at. Shading, portraits, landscapes, architecture, or basic forms/basic skills. I can help you understand the world in a more artistic way in order to develop your own way to draw.
Painting.
No matter what age you are painting is a creative and relaxing activity. You have the choice to learn more about watercolor, acrylic, or oil painting. These lessons typically need more than a one time 60 min class.
Plein Air.
Going out on location and drawing/painting what you see. This is a gorgeous way to get some exercise and come home with an artistic memory of that location. I will lead the way to a beautiful spot. We set up our art supplies and I can lead you through how to capture the sights with your material of choice. (Watercolor, chalk pastels, charcoal, oil pastel)
Ceramics.
Ceramics is creating artwork out of clay. We will be using air dry clay that can be used for planters or creating sculpture to decorate your home. We can discover different techniques of creating forms out of clay.
Wheel Throwing.
Learn the ancient art of throwing pottery on a spinning pottery wheel. Learn how to create your own pots, plates, cups, and more.
Kids Clay Time.
These are lessons that focus on kids playing and discovering different ways to manipulate clay first, then creating a work of art to keep forever.
Print Making.
Printmaking is a process of transferring an image from one surface to another. This process can be an interesting skill to master with a variety of different types of printmaking.I can show you how to create a relief print (think of this like a finger prints) and a monoprint (Think of this like a stamp).
Collage and Scrapbooking.
Art is a way to remember thoughts and feelings. Collages are a great way to get an interesting composition quickly. Younger students may have fun putting images together to create funny pictures and adults may enjoy creating a beautiful book to look back on their happy times. I can supply the materials if you supply any photographs you want to use
